Inspired by silhouettes from the ‘60s right through to the ‘90s, our Spring/Summer ’22 collection in collaboration Paul Smith has been designed to invoke a feeling of space, light and connection with the natural world. The collection comprised of easy-wearing and lightweight glasses and sunglasses captures the essence of the great outdoors; incorporating both functionality and freedom.

The Fenton
As seen above, the Fenton sunglass (also pictured right) was worn on the runway at Paul Smith’s Men’s SS22 show and proved to be so popular it was put into production as this season’s Limited Edition frame. Universally flattering, even when not worn by runway models, this frame features has a sloping brow line and is crafted from crystal semi-transparent acetates with complementing custom Cristian Dalloz pale wash lenses. Limited to just 250 numbered units of each colourway, you’ll want to part of this in-crowd.

The Foster
Originally designed to fit under a pilot’s helmet and behind their visor, the aviator – and its square-lensed navigator counterpart – have since been adopted for use in slightly more down-to-earth endeavours.
Seen on innumerable famous faces through pretty much every decade since their inception into the mainstream, the navigator is an enduring style. The Foster pays homage to this, staying faithful to its original design save for a few modern flourishes and design tweaks.

The Fleming
The completely circular profile of this frame is lifted directly from the grunge era that swept Britain in the ’90s, alongside and often in contention with the Britpop movement. These oversized, round sunglasses are deliberately crafted to have a bold, non-conforming visual impact, as was the sentiment of this movement.
With colour being a focal element of the collection, Paul Smith introduces exciting new design innovations including custom-made two-toned contrasting laminated acetates and new multi-layered laminated acetates which give greater depth to the colour, as seen here on the Fleming.
