Your Favourite Glasses and Sunglasses Resized and Refreshed

In addition to the launch of The Curation for Autumn Winter 22, our best-selling and icon glasses and sunglasses also received colour refreshers and new sizes. Classic optical glasses and sunglasses such as the 1394 and 1395 are now available in new, smaller sizes to suit a wider variety of face shapes.

As we have access to an archive that spans five decades, we’re able to take inspiration from our classic designs and then evolve the glasses to suit the faces and lifestyles of a modern audience. Refreshing colours and resizing frames is a big part of that process.

1394 – The King of Aviators

Inspired by the original 0927 and 0995 from the Cutler and Gross archive, the 1394 is a bold alternative to the subtle metal aviator. Now available in new acetate colourways and a slightly reduced lens size, the 1394 stands out and dares to be different. Explore all colours here.

1390 – Material Girl

The 1390 is ‘80’s-inspired through and through. This rounded acetate frame nods to both our archived 0197 – originally made in 1987 – and a certain Material Girl’s visit to our Knightsbridge store in 1989. For Autumn Winter 22, the 1390 is now available as an optical and a sunglass in this season’s Colour Studio Emerald, plus other new colourways, see them here.

1395 – Coming Around Again

The 1395 is inspired by the trailblazing fashion designer Thea Porter – the Queen of Bohemian fashion in the 70s whose atelier was in Greek St, Soho, London. Porter dressed the era’s musical icons, including Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Mick Jagger and Diana Ross.
