The Graham Cutler Collection is inspired by Mr Cutler’s original capsule collection first launched in our Knightsbridge store in 2003. His customers worked in creative industries, they liked the bold look of Cutler and Gross glasses but were looking for pairs they could wear all day in their respective creative fields.

Coupled with inspiration found in Graham Cutler’s original sketches, for which he exclusively used blue ink, this informed the direction for the collection campaign.
The campaign centres around a series of portraits of eight archetypal ink creatives: a tattooist, an illustrator, an industrial and product designer, an artist, a Japanese calligrapher, a journalist, an author, and a songwriter. Alongside minimal, intimate portraits which mirror this collections pared-back design, the artists were also shot in a way that represented their particular craft.

Edward Barber is one half of award-winning product design duo Barber Osgerby and a celebrated figure in contemporary design. He has worked with prestigious brands such as Vitra, Cappellini, Hermès and Flos, as well as being responsible for the redesign of the 2012 Olympic torch. In 2013, the pair were each awarded OBEs for their services to the design industry and in 2015 they were awarded the London Design Medal.

London-based tattooist Satch Haycraft specialises in fine line tattooing whereby thin, delicate, intricate tattoo design evokes fine artwork and paintings on the skin using black and grey and colour tattoo ink. As well as tattooing, Satch also commissions special prints and other artwork.

Irish-born author, writer and broadcaster Emma Dabiri uses her experience of growing up isolated and as the target of frequent racism to inform her work. Her debut novel Don’t Touch My Hair, released in 2019, was met with critical acclaim. Emma is a frequent contributor to print and online media, including The Guardian, Irish Times, Dublin Inquirer, Vice, and others.

Natsko Seiki grew up in Tokyo and moved to England to study illustration at The University of Brighton. Now living in London, she works on worldwide commissions and counts Transport for London, The New York Times, The Guardian, Financial Times and more as clients. Her illustrated book, Last Paper Crane, received the UK Literacy Association Book Award in 2021.
